Classic Hair-Stroke Eyebrow Embroidery, Bold and Defined
Microblading · Eyebrow Tattoo · Eyebrow Embroidery · Semi-Permanent Eyebrows — Seoul, Korea
Microblading is a hand-etched eyebrow embroidery technique that draws individual, hair-like strokes with a fine bladed tool, creating bold, defined brows that follow your natural growth pattern.

The Technique
What Is
Microblading?
Microblading is a hand-etched eyebrow embroidery technique that draws individual, hair-like strokes with a fine bladed tool, creating bold, defined brows that follow your natural growth pattern.
Microblading uses a handheld tool lined with ultra-fine needles — not a machine — to etch each stroke directly into the skin's surface, following the direction your brow hair naturally grows. Because each line is drawn individually rather than machine-stippled, the result reads as bold, structured, and hair-like rather than flat or painted-on. It's the technique Chaeuda was originally built around, and remains the classic choice for guests who want visible, defined strokes rather than the finer, denser texture of Nano Brow (Hair Stroke).

Why Chaeuda
Why Chaeuda
for Microblading?
Microblading is the technique Chaeuda was originally built around — over a decade spent refining a single-stroke, hand-etched method rather than shading or machine work. That same specialization later led to Nano Brow (Hair Stroke), a finer version of the same skill. If you want the classic, defined hair-stroke look from a studio that has practiced almost nothing else, this is it.

The Work
Recent Microblading Sessions.
Every photo here is captured straight from the chair, brows still fresh from the final stroke — no retouching, no filters, nothing added after the fact. Kang You-jung etches each stroke as one bold, confident line, hand-drawn with no stencils and nothing pre-drawn, checking the shape against the face from every angle before it's ever called finished. What holds up in this kind of unedited light is the real result — not a version of it.

Traveling to Seoul
Planning Your Visit
From Abroad
A meaningful share of our guests plan their Nano Brow (Hair Stroke) session around a trip to Seoul. Here's what's helpful to know before you book.
Sessions
Guests traveling from abroad often complete their treatment in a single visit — strokes are placed with extra density and precision from the start, since returning for a touch-up isn't always practical. A touch-up remains available for guests based in Seoul.
Language Support
Consultations and aftercare guidance are available in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese — just let us know what works best for you.
Getting Here
The studio is in Hongdae, Seoul — easily reached by subway, with hotels and short-stay accommodations nearby.

Before You Book
Questions, answered.
Microblading is a hand-etched eyebrow embroidery technique that uses a fine bladed tool to draw individual, hair-like strokes into the skin, following your natural brow growth pattern for a bold, defined look.
The difference comes down to the tool: Microblading uses a slightly thicker blade for bold, defined strokes, while Nano Brow (Hair Stroke) uses a finer point that lets strokes sit closer together for a softer, denser look. Microblading tends to suit guests who want their brow shape clearly visible.
Results are semi-permanent and fade gradually as the pigment sits in the upper layers of skin. Local guests typically return for a touch-up once fading begins; guests visiting from abroad often have strokes drawn more thoroughly at the first session, since a return visit isn't always practical.
A topical numbing cream is applied before your session, so most guests describe the sensation as light pressure or scratching rather than pain.
Guests with thin, over-plucked, or naturally sparse brows who want a bold, clearly defined shape, or anyone trying permanent makeup for the first time.
Most guests need just one thorough session. A touch-up can be scheduled afterward for guests based in Seoul, once healing is complete, to fine-tune shape, symmetry, and color depth.
As with any procedure involving the skin, it's generally not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for guests with certain skin conditions or blood-clotting concerns. A consultation will confirm what's right for you.
Every consultation includes a quick skin check. Guests with active acne, eczema, or irritation in the brow area are usually asked to wait until the skin has calmed before booking; outside of an active flare-up, sensitive skin is generally fine for the technique.
It depends on the color, saturation, and shape of the existing work. Faded or lightly-pigmented brows can often be softened and reshaped with Microblading, while heavily saturated or dark ink may need to be lightened first. This is assessed during a consultation — a photo in advance helps.
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood-thinning medication for 24 hours beforehand, skip retinol or exfoliating treatments on the brow area for about a week prior, and arrive with your brows unshaped so your natural growth pattern is visible.
Yes — many guests plan their session around a short trip to Seoul, and the treatment itself is completed in a single visit. Since appointments are by consultation only and slots are limited, it's best to reach out a few weeks ahead, especially during peak travel seasons.
Microblading and Nano Brow (Hair Stroke) are both drawn stroke-by-stroke by hand, with Nano Brow using a finer needle for a softer, denser result. Microshading skips strokes entirely for a soft, powdered gradient, while Combo Brows blend both stroke and shading techniques for added depth. A consultation can help match the right technique to your brow goals.
Pricing is confirmed after your consultation, based on your brow's condition and the look you're after.
