The Technique
What Is
Hairline Tattoo?
Hairline Tattoo is Chaeuda's hairline shaping technique — an ultra-fine semi-permanent method that softly redefines the forehead hairline to balance your facial frame and complement your brow design.
Rather than simply filling in thinning patches, Hairline Tattoo reshapes the hairline itself — softening an uneven, overly high, or asymmetrical edge with fine, hair-like strokes that blend into your natural hair. The goal isn't just density: it's a hairline that sits in better proportion with your face shape and existing brow work, so the two read as part of the same overall frame rather than two separate features.

Why Chaeuda
Why Chaeuda
for Hairline Tattoo?
Hairline Tattoo grew out of the same judgment Chaeuda applies to every brow: proportion first. A decade spent reading how brow shape works with a given face translates directly to the hairline — both are about balancing the frame around your features, not just adding density. Guests often book Hairline Tattoo alongside brow work for exactly this reason: the two are shaped to complement each other, not treated as separate services.

The Work
Recent Hairline Tattoo Sessions.
Every photo here is captured straight from the chair, hairline still fresh from the final pass — no retouching, no filters, nothing added after the fact. Kang You-jung shapes each stroke along the natural hairline, softening the edge until it balances with the rest of the face, with no stencils and nothing pre-drawn, checking the line from every angle before it's ever called finished. What holds up in this kind of unedited light is the real result — not a version of it.

Traveling to Seoul
Planning Your Visit
From Abroad
A meaningful share of our guests plan their Nano Brow (Hair Stroke) session around a trip to Seoul. Here's what's helpful to know before you book.
Sessions
Guests traveling from abroad often complete their treatment in a single visit — strokes are placed with extra density and precision from the start, since returning for a touch-up isn't always practical. A touch-up remains available for guests based in Seoul.
Language Support
Consultations and aftercare guidance are available in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese — just let us know what works best for you.
Getting Here
The studio is in Hongdae, Seoul — easily reached by subway, with hotels and short-stay accommodations nearby.

Appointments can be arranged in advance through Line, WhatsApp, or Instagram, in the language you're most comfortable with.
Before You Book
Questions, answered.
Hairline Tattoo is Chaeuda's semi-permanent hairline shaping technique, using ultra-fine, hair-like strokes to softly redefine the forehead hairline and balance it with your overall face shape.
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) uses small dots across the scalp to simulate the look of a shaved, buzzed head, usually for guests with significant hair loss. Hairline Tattoo instead uses fine, hair-like strokes specifically along the hairline's edge, blended into your existing hair to reshape and soften the line — a more targeted approach for guests who still have length and density behind the hairline itself.
Results are semi-permanent and fade gradually as the pigment sits in the upper layers of skin. Local guests typically return for a touch-up once fading begins; guests visiting from abroad often have the hairline shaped more thoroughly at the first session, since a return visit isn't always practical.
A topical numbing cream is applied before your session, so most guests describe the sensation as light pressure or scratching rather than pain.
Guests with uneven, asymmetrical, or unusually high hairlines, those thinned by tight hairstyles or early hair loss, or anyone wanting a softer, more proportional face frame without surgery.
Most guests need just one thorough session. A touch-up can be scheduled afterward for guests based in Seoul, once healing is complete, to fine-tune the shape and density.
As with any procedure involving the skin, it's generally not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for guests with certain skin conditions or blood-clotting concerns. A consultation will confirm what's right for you.
Every consultation includes a quick skin check. Guests with active irritation, eczema, or a flare-up along the hairline are usually asked to wait until the skin has calmed before booking; outside of an active flare-up, sensitive skin is generally fine for the technique.
Yes — many guests pair a Hairline Tattoo consultation with an eyebrow consultation in the same visit, since both are about balancing proportion across the same face. Mention it when you book and we'll plan the visit around both.
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood-thinning medication for 24 hours beforehand, skip retinol or exfoliating treatments on the brow area for about a week prior, and arrive with your brows unshaped so your natural growth pattern is visible.
Yes — many guests plan their session around a short trip to Seoul, and the treatment itself is completed in a single visit. Since appointments are by consultation only and slots are limited, it's best to reach out a few weeks ahead, especially during peak travel seasons.
Pricing is confirmed after your consultation, based on your brow's condition and the look you're after.
